Drive a Food Rescue Route
Volunteers use their own vehicle to pick up surplus food from a grocer or restaurant and deliver it to a nearby agency that feeds people in need, usually a route of about an hour. Younger volunteers can ride along with a driving adult, so it works as a family activity. It is one of the most flexible ways to fight both hunger and food waste on your own schedule.

“Loved this one — the organizer had everything set up before we arrived and explained exactly what we'd be doing. It ran about 30 minutes long, which caught a few of us off guard, so plan for that. Would definitely come back.”
💡 Bring closed-toe shoes and a water bottle — it gets warm.
