Deploy for Disaster Relief Cooking
When a disaster strikes, World Central Kitchen activates local restaurants and kitchens and calls in volunteers to help cook and distribute thousands of meals a day, sometimes within hours of an event. Because deployments are physically demanding and often happen in disaster zones, volunteer roles are generally for adults who can commit to being on-site, though the organization also relies on local community volunteers wherever it operates. “Loved this one — the organizer had everything set up before we arrived and explained exactly what we'd be doing. It ran about 30 minutes long, which caught a few of us off guard, so plan for that. Would definitely come back.”
💡 Bring closed-toe shoes and a water bottle — it gets warm.
